
Royals Dropped by Rockets in Game 1

Kelowna, BC- The Victoria Royals fell 5-0 to the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night as the home team scored five goals in the final 40 minutes to take a 1-0 series lead in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.
Kelowna's Tyson Baillie, Cole Martin, Gage Quinney, Rourke Chartier and Tomas Soustal tallied for the Rockets.
Coleman Vollrath stopped 39 of the 44 shots he faced for the Royals. The Rockets' Jackson Whistle turned aside all 20 shots directed his way.
Victoria went 0/40.0% on the man advantage, while Kelowna went 2/540.0%.
The Royals and Rockets continue their second round best-of-seven series tomorrow in Kelowna with puck drop for Game 2 scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The entire second round series between the two clubs will be televised live on Shaw TV and Shaw HD channel 304 throughout Western Canada.
Victoria will return to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Tuesday, April 14th and Wednesday, April 15th for Games 3 and 4 against the Rockets. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
