Kelowna, BC- The Victoria Royals notched six goals in the final 40 minutes and Coleman Vollrath stopped 44 out of 47 shots in a 6-3 victory over the Kelowna Rockets on Wednesday night at Prospera Place.

Victoria's Tyler Soy led the way offensively with his second hat-trick of the season. The Royals scored three goals in each of the second and third periods. Brandon Magee, Brandon Fushimi and Austin Carroll notched Victoria's remaining markers. Kelowna's Nick Merkley scored twice, while Devante Stephens tallied the other goal.

Kelowna's netminder Jackson Whistle turned away 20 of 26 shots.

The Royals went 2/2= 100% on the powerplay, while the Rockets went 0/3= 0.0%.

Victoria will now head to Vancouver for a tilt against the Giants on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. to wrap up their four-game road trip.

The Royals will then return home the following night for a two-game set against the Vancouver Giants on Saturday, March 14th at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday, March 15th at 1:05 p.m.
