Royals Dismiss Coach Jason Nobili
January 6, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization has relieved Jason Nobili of his responsibilities as the team's Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. Larry Courville will take over those duties with the team on an interim basis effective immediately.
"This was a very serious and difficult decision for our organization, which was made even more difficult because of the sincere efforts undertaken by Jason this season," said Royals' General Manager Gordon Kaye. "However, we believe that our team is in need of a substantial change and have concluded that this is the appropriate time to take this action."
Reading returns to action tonight (Tuesday, January 6, 2009 @ 9:05 pm et), when the Royals face the Utah Grizzles at The E-Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the first time in team history. Tuesday's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
