
Royals and Hurricanes Open Offseason with Trade

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals announced today that the club has acquired the rights to unsigned American prospect, Chase LaPinta, along with a 7th round pick in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft, as well as an 8th round pick in 2022 (originally traded from Victoria to Lethbridge), and a 2nd round pick in 2024 from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for defenceman Nolan Bentham (2003).
LaPinta (2004) is a native of Frisco, TX who played for the Dallas Stars Elite 16U AAA during the 2020-2021 season recording 12 points (6g-6a) in 12 games. The 5'7, 148 lbs forward was selected in the 8th round (164th overall) during the 2019 WHL Draft.
Bentham, a native of Victoria, BC, last played for Victoria during the 2019-2020 season scoring 3 points (1g-2a) while playing 52 games.
