Brockton, MA (August 15, 2008) - The Brockton Rox and Worcester Tornadoes were rained out on Friday night at Campanelli Stadium due to unplayable field conditions following torrential rains during the day. The teams will play a double header on Saturday night beginning at 5:05 PM.
Game one starters will be the scheduled starters for Friday night with Worcester RHP Shaun McNamara (2-9, 6.40 ERA) pitching against Rox RHP Rony Mercado. Game two will feature Worcester LHP Tom Cochran (12-1, 2.16 ERA) against Rox RHP Mike Smith (0-0, 6.23 ERA). The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first.
