After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, the Quebec Capitales rallied to take a 4-1 lead in the second inning and never looked back en route to the win. Quebec 3B Pat Deschenes led all hitters in the contest, going 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Capitales starting pitcher Karl Gelinas allowed two runs on two hits while striking out eight and walking none in six innings to earn his first win. Ottawa LF Jereme Milons and DH Greg Dumouchel each hit solo home runs in the losing effort.

The Atlantic City Surf broke open a 1-1 game with four runs in the seventh inning to take a 5-1 lead and went on to win easily. Surf starting pitcher Freddy Flores allowed one run on two hits while striking out four in five innings of work to pick up the win, his first of the year. Atlantic City CF Josh Burrus led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored. New Jersey starter Jorge Acosta picked up the tough-luck loss. He allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits while fanning seven.
