Brockton Rox News Release

BROCKTON – The Rox are pleased to announce the promotion of Andy Crossley to the position of assistant general manager.

Crossley, 28, joined the Rox in November 2003 and has been responsible for season ticket and group sales. He brings a diverse background in sports management to the position having served for three years as the assistant general manager of the Nashua (N.H.) Pride of the Atlantic League, another independent-baseball league. He has also worked for the Boston Bulldogs and the Cape Cod Crusaders of the United Soccer League, and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. A Boston native, he attended Emory University in Atlanta, where he graduated in 1997 with a degree in Russian Language and International Studies.

"Andy has been a major asset for us since he joined the Rox," said Rox general manager David Sacchetti. "This is truly a promotion he has earned and deserves."

In other front-office personnel moves, the Rox also announced that director of promotions Jim Pfander will be leaving the team at the end of the season to take on a similar role with the Charleston RiverDogs, the Single A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The Rox and RiverDogs are both members of the Goldklang Group, a sports management and consulting firm.

Andrea Thrubis, currently the Rox director of community relations, will take over the position of director of promotions. Thrubis, a 2003 graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in marketing, previously worked for the Detroit Tigers before joining the Rox prior to this season.

The Brockton Rox, the 2003 champions of the eight-team independent Northeast League, play their home games at Brockton's Campanelli Stadium, the "City of Champions'" state-of-the-art baseball facility, adjacent to the Shaw's Center, a contemporary meeting and banquet facility.
