Rox Head into All-Star Break on a High Note with Blowout over Rochester

St. Cloud Rox News Release
St. Cloud, MN - St. Cloud (34-11) earned a series split with Rochester (21-23) after an 11-4 win on Sunday entering the three-day all-star break.
The Rox bats had another great day at the plate, starting with the lead-off man, John Nett (St. Cloud St.). Before playing for the Great Plains in the All-Star Game, Nett reached base six times on the day and scored four runs. Nett is now tied for the Rox' single season record with 58 runs this season.
Ethan Mann (Dallas Baptist) came up with one of the Rox most important hits of the game, tripling in the fourth to double the Rox' lead from three to six. Mann's three RBI's brings his season total to 30, one of just three St. Cloud players to reach that threshold this season.
On the mound, the Rox relied on the bullpen late in the game to keep the Honkers at arm's length. Brady Posch (Nebraska-Omaha) and Rafael Acosta (Georgia State) each tossed scoreless innings on the mound to get the game to the eighth, striking out two batters each.
Enrique Ozoa (Southern University) had his best outing of the year as well, finishing the game off with two innings out of the bullpen. Ozoa retired all six batters he faced and struck out two.
The Rox have the next three days off for the all-star break, while six players and the coaching staff will be heading to Wisconsin Rapids to represent the Great Plains division. St. Cloud returns to action on Thursday to start a two game series with Bismarck. First pitch at the Rock Pile against the Larks is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
