July 16, 2022 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
St. Cloud Rox News Release
St. Cloud, MN - St. Cloud (33-11) battled its way back after falling behind early, but couldn't finish the comeback, falling 10-6 to Rochester (21-22).
The Rox started off fast at the plate, scoring three runs in the first inning behind RBI singles from Ethan Mann (Dallas Baptist) and O'Neill Burgos (Southern University), who each had solid days on offense.
Mann finished the day with two hits, including a double and drove in two of the Rox' six runs. Burgos followed up his first home run on Friday with two hits tonight and his RBI in the first.
Danny Glenos (Montevallo) had one of his best outings of the season, throwing three innings to settle things down for the Rox on the mound. Glenos retired nine of the ten batters he faced to help St. Cloud stay in the game.
Late in the contest, Jacob Moskowitz (Central Missouri) struck out the side in the eighth inning. Then, Aiden Adams (Tarleton State) threw a perfect ninth inning to give the Rox their chance in the final frame.
