To cap it off, O'Neill Burgos (Southern) hit his first home run of the season in the seventh inning. Burgos knocked a solo home run out of the park to get the Rox to their final total of seven runs.
Hunter Day (Tarleton State) continued his all-star season with five solid innings on the mound. Day struck out five Express batters and only allowed one run on a solo homer on the day.
In the late innings, Aiden Adams (Tarleton State) finished off the win for the Rox with seven outs out of the bullpen. Adams tossed a perfect ninth inning to close out the Rox' eighth win of the second half.
