DULUTH, MN - The St. Cloud Rox (22-13) took a game one victory against the Duluth Huskies (16-17) with a 23-18 final score, Tuesday, July 4th. The Rox come into the second half with 21 first half wins, one of the top marks across the league.

The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Tyler Hemmesch. In Hemmesch's 1stcareer start, he completed 4.0 innings of work, striking out seven batters while giving up just four hits. Hemmesch has tallied 10 strikeouts in 6.0 innings pitched so far this season.

Anthony Mata made his presence known in his debut immediately, with two hits and three walks, scoring twice and batting in three runs. Mata tallied the 5thtriple of the season for St. Cloud. Brady Prewitt had two hits, a walk, and two RBI. Prewitt now has a five-game hitting streak. Matt Goetzmann drew three hits and three walks, with a three-run home run to tie the game in the 9thinning. Goetzmann leads the team with five home runs this season. Jackson Hauge gave St. Cloud the go-ahead runs with a two-run double in the top of the 11thand added on with a two-run home run later in the inning.

Owen Marsh went 1.0 inning as the first arm out of the bullpen, with a strikeout. Jake Burcham worked through an inning of work in his team-high 12thappearance. Ryan Chmielewski tallied the first two outs of the 7thinning, while Andrew Morones completed 1.1 innings of work with a strikeout. Micah Ashman made his debut in the 9thinning, getting the Rox to extra innings while drawing two strikeouts. Mason Olson came in the 10thfor St. Cloud, tallying a strikeout. Brandon Jaenke tallied the final three outs in the 11thinning.

The Rox return home tomorrow, July 5thfor a 6:35 first pitch against the Duluth Huskies. It will also be "Bark in the Park" Night! Not only do your Rox take on the Huskies from Duluth, but you can bring your husky to the game or whatever type of dog you have. The one and only game of the season to bring your K-9 best friend to a Rox game. Dogs need to enter through the 1st base gate on Bark in the Park Night.
