Little Falls, NJ - Trailing 5-1 entering the seventh inning, the Brockton Rox scored six unanswered runs to come from behind to defeat the New Jersey Jackals 7-5 on Sunday night at Yogi Berra Stadium.

The Jackals jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning against Rox starter Santo Hernandez. With one out, 1B Juan Tejeda doubled home SS Bryant Nelson to make it 1-0. Later in the inning, 3B Chris Kelly lifted his tenth home run of the season to center field, a three-run shot. Brockton countered with an unearned run in the top of the second to make it a 4-1 game, but New Jersey answered in the bottom of the fifth with an unearned run of their own to take a 5-1 advantage. That score held until the seventh. In the seventh, Jackals' starter Tom Atlee allowed the first two batters to reach base before being lifted from the game in favor of reliever Dustin Cameron. Cameron walked the first batter he faced to load the bases before surrendering a three-run double to RF Denny Abreu as Brockton cut their deficit to one at 5-4. The Rox added a run later in the frame when Abreu scored on a double play to tie the game at five.

Brockton plated the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to take a 6-5 lead when 2B Melvin Falu singled home 1B Jason Colson against Jackals' reliever Justin Barnes. In the ninth, New Jersey's season-high fourth error of the evening enabled Brockton to add an insurance run and extend their lead to 7-5. Rox closer Jerry Dunn preserved the victory by pitching a scoreless bottom of the ninth as he earned his league-leading 23rd save of the season. Barnes (3-2) took the loss after allowing two runs - one earned - in two innings out of the bullpen. Brockton reliever Keith Noe (1-1) received his second decision in as many days, earning the win after hurling a perfect seventh inning.

The Jackals begin their final home series of the season on Monday night when they host the Sussex Skyhawks at 7:05 p.m. at Yogi Berra Stadium.
