He endured a rough start, escaping a bases-loaded, no-outs jam in the first inning with a sacrifice fly and a double play. Jackson finished with four strikeouts. Round Rock tied the game in the bottom of the first on Chad Tracy's sacrifice fly. Tracy doubled with two outs in the fourth and later scored on a wild pitch. Brad Nelson added a two-out solo homer in the fifth.
POSTSEASON BOUND
Round Rock has claimed its second Pacific Coast League American Southern Division Championship since joining the league in 2005. The Express also won the division title in 2006. Round Rock also made four playoff appearances in the Texas League as the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, winning title Texas League title in 2000.
BEST RANGERS TRIPLE-A TEAM EVER'
With 86 wins, the 2011 Express squad has more wins than any other Texas Rangers Triple-A affiliate. The 1999 Oklahoma RedHawks previously held the mark, going 83-59; that team lost in the PCL Championship Series. The Rangers Triple-A affiliate has not won a league title since Oklahoma claimed the PCL title in 1996. Other Triple-A league-winning Rangers affiliates were Oklahoma in 1992, Spokane in 1974 and Spokane in 1973.
EXPRESS ESTABLISH FRANCHISE WINS RECORD
Last night's win was Round Rock's 86th of the season, surpassing the 2006 squad's franchise record (Triple-A era). Round Rock also won 86 games in 2001 as a member of the Double-A Texas League.
JONES NAMED PCL MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Bobby Jones was honored as PCL Manager of the Year, the league office announced Friday. It is Jones' first such honor in 11 seasons as a manager in the league. Jones led Round Rock to its first division title since 2006 this season; it was his sixth division title in the last nine years. He is the first Express manager to be so honored at the Triple-A level; Jackie Moore was named Texas League (AA) Manager of the Year three times.
BUTLER NAMED PCL POSTSEASON ALL-STAR
Joey Butler was named to the PCL Postseason All-Star Team, the league office announced Monday. Butler is the fifth Express member so honored since Round Rock joined the PCL in 2005, joining Mike Coolbaugh (2005), Danny Klassen (2005), Jason Hirsch (2006) and Bud Norris (2009). Former Express member and current Reno shortstop Cody Ransom also earned PCL postseason honors.
ROUND ROCK AMONG PCL's BEST
The Express (86-57, .601) are two games behind Sacramento (88-55, .615) for the PCL's best record. Round Rock is 6-4 in its last 10 games, during which time the River Cats have won 10 straight. The Express are six games ahead of Omaha (79-62, .560) in the overall American Conference standings.
DIVISION STANDINGS UPDATE
Round Rock (86-57, .601) holds a 16-game lead over Albuquerque (70-73, .490) in the American Southern Division standings. Since Round Rock joined the PCL in 2005, only one other American Southern team has won more than 80 games - the 2006 Express won 85. That team and Albuquerque's 2009 squad both had 11-game leads at the regular season's end, the largest final division leads in that time. Round Rock has at least shared the division lead following 121 of 143 games this season and has led the division outright since June 25.
TEAM RECORDS WATCH
Round Rock has established franchise records (Triple-A era) for runs (832), hits (1464), RBI (799), doubles (298), total bases (2368), walks (510), sacrifice flies (51) and home runs (176). Express pitchers also have established a franchise record with 1038 strikeouts.
INDIVIDUAL RECORDS WATCH

He also fell six runs scored short Brooks Conrad's 2006 record (100). German established Express single-season records with 71 walks and 44 stolen bases. German and Josh Anderson (40, 2007) are the only Express players to steal at least 30 bases in a season. ¬Â¦ Matt Kata has established an Express record with 11 sacrifice flies. He has been hit by a pitch 14 times, breaking his own record 11 from last season. Tracy also has been hit 12 times this season. ¬Â¦ Zach Jackson is tied with Jason Hirsch (2006) for the franchise single-season wins record. Jackson also is tied for seventh with 23 games started.
