ROUND ROCK, Texas - Val Majewski delivered a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh that proved to be the game-winning hit as the Round Rock Express rallied past the Albuquerque Isotopes 7-5 in Monday afternoon's Pacific Coast League regular-season finale at The Dell Diamond. The Express (87-57) closed the regular season with five straight wins, sweeping the Isotopes (70-74).

Round Rock posted a 30-game turnaround in its first season as a Texas Rangers affiliate, establishing a franchise for wins. The Express also posted the most wins ever by a Rangers Triple-A affiliate. Round Rock faces the Omaha Storm Chasers in the PCL's American Conference Championship Series, which begins Wednesday with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch at The Dell Diamond.

Playoff tickets are available through the Round Rock Express ticket office at 512.255.2255 ext. 6 or online at www.RoundRockExpress.com. This is Round Rock's first playoff appearance since 2006

Monday's game was a back-and-forth affair. Albuquerque scored three runs in the top of the seventh to erase a 3-2 Round Rock lead. However, the Express made use of two Isotopes errors to score four unearned runs in the bottom of the inning.

Matt Kata started the scoring with an RBI double, and Guilder Rodriguez scored the tying run on a Luis Cruz groundout. After Chad Tracy was hit by a pitch, Majewski slapped a 1-2 pitch through the left side, scoring the go-ahead run. Kevin Cash later was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, plating the final run.

Tanner Scheppers (2-0) picked up the win as the fifth of six pitchers used by the Express. Scheppers allowed all three runs in the seventh before working a scoreless eighth; he surrendered two hits, hit two batters and walked one with two strikeouts. Cody Eppley worked around a one-out walk in a scoreless ninth for his staff-leading 10th save; he struck out two.

David Pfeiffer (1-3) took the loss for the Isotopes despite not allowing an earned run. He entered the game to start the seventh and did not retire any of the three batters he faced. Starter Randy Keisler allowed three runs on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 6.0 innings.

Kata and Nick Green both had two-hit games; Kata scored three times and walked once. Joey Butler was 1-for-3 with a walk; he delivered a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth that gave Round Rock a 3-2 lead.

John Lindsey produced Albuquerque's lone multiple-hit game, going 2-for-5 with his 13th home run and two RBI.

Right-hander Eric Hurley (8-3, 5.55 ERA) will start Game 1 of the American Conference Championship Series. PCL Pitcher of the Year right-hander Luis Mendoza (12-5, 2.18 ERA) will start for Omaha.
