FRISCO, TEXAS (May 28, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders are excited to host their annual MVP Student Program Night at Dr Pepper Ballpark during tonight's game against the Springfield Cardinals. The RoughRiders MVP Student Program, presented by First Choice Emergency Room, is designed to be an instrument for teachers to reward, motivate and honor their students. Tonight's game marks the first of three such nights at Dr Pepper Ballpark this season.

The RoughRiders MVP Student Program, presented by First Choice Emergency Room, targets fifth graders in more than 20 school districts across North Texas and rewards MVP students and their families with free tickets to a RoughRiders game. The recipients also have a unique opportunity to meet players and take home exclusive souvenirs.

May 28 marks the first of three nights in which chosen MVP students will attend a RoughRiders game with their families and presenting teacher. Nearly 400 local teachers were given the opportunity to reward up to five students each for the MVP Program. Thursday, June 11 and Monday, June 22 are also MVP Student Program Nights.

The MVP Students will have an area behind the centerfield batter's eye set up with games, food and other kid's activities. The Riders host the Springfield Cardinals tonight at 7:05 p.m.
