NORTH LITTLE ROCK--The Missions will score again at some point but on Tuesday night the club suffered its third shutout in four games in the series opener at Dickey Stephens Park before a crowd of 3,228.

Each of the last four games has been decided by a shutout, with San Antonio winning one of those. It's the first time the club has been involved in four straight whitewashes since May, 2004.

Trea Turner collected two of the Missions four hits, extending his hitting streak to 12 games and his on-base streak to 25.

Starting pitcher Bryan Rodriguez (3-6) took the tough loss despite another solid effort. The right-hander posted an 8.38 ERA thru his first four outings but has allowed no more than two runs in five starts since then.

Tuesday's game was also the seventh time in the last 12 games and the 12th time overall this year that the Missions were involved in a shutout decision.

The Missions have dropped six of eight and 11 of the last 15 games.

NOTES: San Antonio has scored in only six of the last 64 innings and haven't scored in 16 straight frames. The 2014 squad was involved in a Texas League-high 23 shutouts...Travis Jankowski (hand) is day-to-day
