NORTH LITTLE ROCK--The Missions quickly snapped a 16-inning scoreless drought but wasted a pair of late scoring chances in dropping their third straight Wednesday night in front of 3,111 at Dickey Stephens Park.

The Missions scored three times in the opening inning off Nate Smith, who then held San Antonio to one hit and an unearned run over the next five frames.

Elliot Morris (1-4) was tagged for five runs in the first two innings as the right-hander battled with his control throughout his five innings on the mound.

The Missions wasted a leadoff seventh inning double from Luis Domoromo and squandered a one-out scoring chance in the eighth with runners on the corners.

Trea Turner extended his hitting streak to 12 games and his on-base streak to 26 with an rbi double. Turner's .404 batting average during the on-base streak is second among all Double-A hitters.
