CEDAR RAPIDS- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will open the home portion of their 2017-2018 United States Hockey League schedule this Saturday night as they host the Omaha Lancers at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The team opened their 2017-2018 season on the road this past weekend, losing 2-1 at Green Bay and winning at Madison 4-3.

"We are very excited to start the 2017-2018 season," said RoughRiders Head Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson. "We look forward to opening up at home on October 14th vs. a very good team and a very prestigious organization, the Omaha Lancers."

The 1st 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a team magnetic schedule compliments of University of Iowa Community Credit Union, The M.A.C and Unity Point Health. Additionally, one lucky fan in attendance will have a chance to win a Polaris Slingshot from McGrath Powersports. Tickets are on sale now and range anywhere from $12.75 to $25.00. Tickets can be purchased by calling 319-247-0340, online at www.RidertownUSA.com or by stopping into the RoughRiders box office located inside of the Ice Arena at 1100 Rockford Road SW during the hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. The box office will also be open Saturday from 10 am until game time.
