Sioux Falls Stampede News Release
Sioux Falls, SD-Back by popular demand, the Sioux Falls Stampede, The Salvation Army and Golden Rule Construction Company want Stampede Country to create an Ugly Christmas Sweater Jersey for the Stampede. Fans have until Friday, October 13th to submit their best ugly sweater design to the Stampede. Click here to download a template for jersey sizing.
The jersey should include a front and back design and include the Stampede logo on the front. The team will pick the three best jersey designs and allow fans to select which jersey they think is the best through online voting beginning October 14th.
The jerseys will be worn on The Salvation Army Night, December 16th, when the Stampede host Omaha at 7:05 PM at the PREMIER Center. All the jerseys will be given away through a silent auction with proceeds benefiting The Salvation Army and their Christmas Assistance program which provides money to aid needy families, seniors and the homeless during the holidays. In addition, the Stampede will hold an ugly Christmas sweater contest and Santa himself will be at the game.
Fans should send their completed project file to Jasen Robbennolt ( jasen@sfstampede.com ) by 5 PM on October 13th. The top three designs will then be turned into a proof which will be placed on the Stampede website. Fans will have a chance to vote online for their favorite jersey with the winner being announced on October 17th.
The grand prize winner will take home a brand new snow blower, a personalized ugly sweater jersey of their own, an opportunity to drop the puck at the December 16th game and 4 ice seats to enjoy the game.
This marks the third straight year the Stampede will allow the fans to create a jersey. Last year, Demetria Knutson was the Stampede Ugly Christmas Sweater jersey winner.
