Roughnecks take preseason physicals

October 19, 2006 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Calgary Roughnecks News Release

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks, veterans and newcomers alike, will be in town this weekend for the club's annual pre-season fitness testing.

At least nine new signings, along with fan favourites such as Tracey Kelusky and Kaleb Toth, will be put through their paces at the Canadian Sport Rehabilitation facility (2424 University Drive N.W., adjacent to the FatherBauer Arena) between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday morning (October 21).

"This is a really important weekend for us," said General Manager and Vice President Kurt Silcott. "Not only is it the first time we have face-to-face contact with the players since the end of last season, but the testing is a great barometer of what shape the guys are in.

"Hopefully, all of them worked hard during the summer and are coming here healthy and fully fit. If they're not, we'll soon find out."
