
Roughnecks Fall Short in Overtime

Denver, CO - John Grant Jr. scored the overtime winner, his fifth of the night, three minutes into the extra session to lift the Colorado Mammoth to a 9-8 victory over the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday evening at Pepsi Center in Denver.
Grant added an assist to finish with a game-leading six points as Colorado earned their fourth consecutive win and a post-season berth.
Curtis Dickson and Dane Dobbie both recorded five-point efforts for Calgary, scoring three goals and adding two helpers. Daryl Veltman rounded out the scoring with a pair of markers in the road setback.
The Roughnecks (3-10) return to action tomorrow, Saturday, Apr. 4, hosting the Mammoth (8-5) in the back half of the home-and-home series, with a 7:00 p.m. start at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
