Roughnecks Face Swope Park Rangers Saturday at ONEOK Field

The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will host its third match in a week when it takes on the Swope Park Rangers on Saturday, September 22. It will be Clunker Car Night and Star Wars Night at ONEOK Field with kickoff for the match scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in downtown Tulsa.

First, it will be Star Wars Night at the stadium. Everyone's favorite Star Wars Characters will be walking around the concourse of the stadium for fans to meet and take pictures with. In addition, it will be Clunker Car Night. Fans 16 and older will have an opportunity to enter a drawing to win one of two free clunker cars at halftime!

All of Saturday's activities are presented by Bank of Oklahoma, FOX23 and Mix 96.5.

99s match will be the second of two meetings this season against the Swope Park Rangers. On August 29, the Roughnecks fell 2-1 to the Rangers at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City. Tulsa struck first in the match when a defender slid in front of Michael Gamble, but missed an attempted tackle, leaving Gamble with just the keeper to beat allowing him to score. But Swope Park scored the final two goals of the match and took home the win.

The Roughnecks are coming off a 4-1 loss against Sacramento in which Nemanja Vukovic scored Tulsa's lone goal off of a penalty kick. Tulsa is 1-3-1 over its last five matches and has an overall record of 3-8-4 with Michael Nsien as head coach. Swope Park will enter the match with 49 points from a 14-7-10 record and with a three-match winning streak. The Rangers are currently sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference and will be fighting to claim a spot in the USL Playoffs.

Tickets for Saturday's game are available online, or over the phone at (918) 744-5901 or in person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office. Youth players who wear their team's jersey can obtain any level ticket in the seating bowl or on the grass berm for just $5.

The match will also be streamed live on ESPN+ for fans with a subscription to the service. For Cox subscribers in Tulsa, the game can be viewed live on YurView 1333.

STAR WARS NIGHT / CLUNKER CAR NIGHT

The Roughnecks are back at ONEOK Field with their second of two meetings this year against the Swope Park Rangers. We have a few promotions to help make it a fun night at the stadium.

It will be Star Wars Night at ONEOK Field with characters from all the movies walking around the concourse for fans to meet and take pictures with. There will be Star Wars music and promotions throughout the night for all fans of the films.

Also, it will be Clunker Car Night. All fans 16 and older will have a chance to enter a drawing to win one of two clunker cars that will be announced at halftime. Those lucky fans will drive home from the game in either a gold 2000 Dodge Stratus with 241K miles, or a crimson 1999 Pontiac Bonneville with even lower miles at 163K.
