MIDLAND, TX. : The West Texas Roughnecks are excited to announce on Thursday, April 22, that the Roughnecks and the San Angelo Stampede Express will be playing with pink footballs for this Saturday's game (April 24) courtesy of Medical Center Hospital. The game on April 24 will be marked as Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Ector County Coliseum as live auctions of autographed pink footballs will be held during halftime and post-game.

All proceeds from the pink football auctions will go towards the American Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Autographed pink footballs from Roughnecks players such as RB Jorvorskie Lane, RB DeWayne Hogan and WR Ryan Bugg will be featured during the halftime auction. This event marks the third consecutive time that the Roughnecks have played a game with pink footballs in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, dating back to the 2008 season.

"We would like to thank Medical Center Hospital for all their help in regards to the pink footballs. This event has become a steady tradition for the Roughnecks organization and we are proud to support the American Cancer Society." stated West Texas Roughnecks Team Owner Dale Morris.
