Roughnecks Edge Rio And Leap From Worst
MIDESSA, TX. : The Roughnecks pulled off their third win in a row Saturday Night June 16th, in Rio Grande Valley. The offense scored 21 points in a minute fifty seconds to take the lead 62 -55 and were able to hang on for the victory 62-61 this puts West Texas at a 2-1 record against the Magic who is currently tied with Amarillo for first place. The victory did go without a price as the offense likely lost wide receiver H. Morrow for the remainder of the season with an elbow injury. Morrow had been the teams number two receiver and had scored 6 times in the past 3 games. The Roughnecks will play Abilene in Abilene on June 25th this game is one of only two games remaining this season the second to be played in Amarillo on July 7th. "I feel confident about what our coaches have done to put this team together and the level of the play our team is currently executing, so in my eyes playoffs are immanent it's just a matter of what ranking 1st -4th,"boasted owner and GM Dale Morris.
