
Rosters Set For 2006 WNBA Regular Season

NEW YORK, MAY 19 - The WNBA teams have set their rosters for the league's historic 10th anniversary season, which tips off tomorrow with a full slate of exciting games. The highlight will be ABC's broadcast of the defending WNBA Champion Sacramento Monarchs as they commemorate their 2005 WNBA title by raising the championship banner prior to squaring off against All-Star Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury at ARCO Arena (4 p.m. EDT).
Opening day also will pit 2005 WNBA runner-up Connecticut Sun vs. All-Star Becky Hammon and the New York Liberty at Mohegan Sun; the Chicago Sky will play its first regular season game as is takes on the Charlotte Sting at Bobcats Arena; and 2005 Defensive Player of the Year Tamika Catchings and the Indiana Fever will host Swin Cash and the Detroit Shock.
