GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Kansas City Royals, have announced that catcher Kenny Swab has joined the Cougars from Class-A Advanced Wilmington. This afternoon's roster move brings the Cougars to an active squad of 25 players, the Midwest League maximum. The series between Kane County and Clinton continues tonight at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.

Swab (21st round, 2011) was drafted professionally in 2009 and in 2010, but elected to continue his collegiate career. At the University of Virginia, Swab batted .318 as a senior, helping the Cavaliers win the ACC title and reach the College World Series.
