Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Forward Romell Quioto has been selected by Honduras for the team's three remaining World Cup qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Despite Honduras already being mathematically eliminated from qualification, los Catrachos will first visit Panama on March 24 at 9:05pm at the Estadio Rommel Fernández, before hosting Mexico on March 27 at 7:05pm at the Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano. Their qualifying campaign will end on the road against Jamaica on March 30 at 9:05pm at the National Stadium, in Kingston.
Quioto was called up to the national team during the last FIFA international window in January, featuring in all three matches for Honduras. He logged 180 minutes in losses to Canada (2-0), El Salvador (2-0) and Mexico (3-0). The Hondurans remain in eighth place in the octagonal with a 0-8-3 record.
Quioto made his debut with the senior Honduras national team on March 1, 2012. He has scored 12 goals at the international senior level.
