
Red Bulls Draw Columbus Crew, 1-1, on Sunday Afternoon

The New York Red Bulls (2-1-1, 7 pts.) battled Columbus Crew (2-0-2, 8 pts.) to a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena on Sunday afternoon,
New York opened the scoring in the 84th minute, when a corner from midfielder Lewis Morgan found the head of defender Aaron Long and his attempt at goal hit off the Columbus goalkeeper Eloy Room and was awarded an own goal.
Columbus found the equalizer in the 95th minute, after defender Steven Moreira played a low driven cross that found Darlington Nagbe. His initial attempt was stopped, but he was able to tap it in to tie the match.
Red Bulls midfielder Frankie Amaya made his 50th career MLS start in his fourth career season in MLS.
Forward Ashley Fletcher made his MLS debut coming on as a substitute in the 94th minute for Amaya.
The Red Bulls have amassed a mark of 120-35-42 at Red Bull Arena since 2010 and have earned 402 points at home in that timespan, which is the most in MLS.
Following Sunday's match, the FIFA International Break will run through March 30.
