MONTREAL - Defenders Alistair Johnston and Kamal Miller, along with midfielder Ismaël Koné, have been selected by the Canadian men's national team for Canada's final three World Cup qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Johnston, Koné and Miller will first face Costa Rica on March 24 at 10:05 pm at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica. The Canadians will then return home to host Jamaica on March 27 at BMO Field in front of a sold-out crowd at 4:05 pm, before returning to Central America for their final qualifying match on March 30 against Panama at the Estadio Rommel Fernández at 9:05 pm.

With 25 points (7-0-4) and three games remaining, Canada remains undefeated atop the table. With a win in San Jose, les Rouges would book their ticket to the World Cup for the first time in 36 years. A draw would also suffice provided that Panama does not win against Honduras at home or if the United Stated fail to win against Mexico on the road.

During the last international window, Miller and Johnston played 99 and 212 minutes respectively, for their country, helping Canada put together a historic three-game winning streak against Honduras (2-0), the United States (2-0) and El Salvador (2-0). Miller (20 caps) and Johnston (21 caps) logged their first senior minutes in 2019 and 2021 respectively.

Koné, meanwhile, will be participating in his first-ever senior national team camp. The 19-year-old midfielder signed his first professional contract with CF Montréal in August 2021.
