Roger Clemens to rehab with Hooks on June 11th

SUNDAY START FOR CLEMENS - Moments after announcing his decision to sign with the Astros on Wednesday, the Hooks received word that Roger Clemens will be making a Sunday, June 11th rehab start at Whataburger Field when the Hooks take on the San Antonio Missions. Game time is scheduled for 6:05 pm. Call the Hooks Ticket Office at (361) 561-HOOK, or visit http://www.cchooks.com/tickets/ to purchase game tickets.

ROAD WEARY - The Hooks wrap up an eight day road trip on Thursday vs. Wichita. The current road trip has been a long one, suffering four straight losses to Tulsa and a rain out in Wichita. They did win on Monday at Wichita however, and with a double-header sweep on Wednesday and a win Thursday they can finish with a 4-4 record on the trip. Currently, the Hooks sit three games ahead of Midland in the Texas League South.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBAL - This Thursday at 8:00 pm the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans will take on the Laredo United Longhorns at Whataburger Field in the Region IV-5A finals. Tickets will go on sale Thursday morning and gates will open at 6:30 pm. Contact the Hooks Ticket Office at (361) 561-HOOK for more information on the game.

RYAN-SANDERS BASEBALL SCHOOL - Visit http://www.cchooks.com/kidszone/camps/ or stop by Whataburger Field for sign-up information on this year's Ryan-Sanders Baseball School. The two sessions, geared for kids ages 5-18, are set for June 7th-9th and June 12th-14th. Instruction for the camp will be performed by Hooks' players and coaches. Spots are still available but going fast.

GET HOOKED ON READING - It's that time of year again, kids. The Hooks' summer reading program, Get Hooked on Reading, is back. Visit any Corpus Christi, Gregory-Portland, or Sinton public library to register and get started on the reading list. A CLASSIC FIELD - In case you didn't hear, three of the four teams (Arizona St., Rice, TCU) that participated in this year's Whataburger College Classic have all received bids for postseason play in this weekend's Regional Championships.

BACK HOME WITH A BANG - The Hooks will make their return to Whataburger Field this Friday when they play game one of a three-game series against the Tulsa Drillers at 7:05 pm. As always, Bud Light will provide the post game entertainment with "Friday Fireworks." The series will be the first of 19 home games the Hooks will play in June at Whataburger Field.
