
Rodgers' Late Power Play Goal Lifts Blazers Past Rockets

Alex Rodgers' powerplay goal with 17 seconds left in regulation broke a 3-3 tie and helped give the Blazers a 4-3 win in Kelowna on Friday night.
Jamie Benn and Kenton Dulle - who now has 4 goals in his last 2 games - traded first period goals and did the same in the second before Colin Long's powerplay goal in the final minute of period two to put the Rockets up 3-2. Early in the third, Brady Calla converted a Brock Nixon feed on the powerplay to tie the game with Rodgers winning it with 16.8 seconds remaining.
Shots were 37-21 Kelowna with Justin Leclerc solid again in the Blazer goal. Kris Westblom took the loss for the Rockets.
The Blazers were 2-for-6 on the PP and 5-for-7 on the PK.
