Arkansas Travelers News Release
Midland, TX-A seven-run second inning proved too much for the Arkansas Travelers (25-26) to overcome in an 8-4 defeat at the hands of the Midland RockHounds (26-26). That rally began with two out and no one on and saw eight straight reach base, seven on hits with four going for extra bases. All the runs were charged to starter Anthony Misiewicz who took the loss. Arkansas tried to chip away against RockHound starter Logan Shore but failed to get a key hit as they were 0-5 with runners in scoring position for the night. The Trav bullpen of Scott Kuzminsky, Stephen Perakslis and Spencer Herrmann kept them alive by firing 6.1 innings and surrendering just an unearned run.
Moments That Mattered
* Eric Filia, batting second and making his season debut, homered on the very first pitch he saw to put the Travs up 2-0.
* The Rockhounds rally in the second inning began when a two-hopper to third base was not handled and then was followed by a passed ball and an RBI triple.
* Travs had runners at the corners with one out in the seventh when Joey Curletta hit a groundball that appeared headed for centerfield but shortstop Richie Martin made a diving play to stop it and got a force out at second base to stall Arkansas' momentum.
Notable Travs Performances

* DH Eric Filia: 2-4, run, BB, HR, 2 RBI
