May 30, 2018 - Texas League (TL1)
San Antonio Missions News Release
TULSA - River Stevens four hits and three RBI's paced a 19-hit attack as the Missions took the opening game of the series in Tulsa, 11-5, Tuesday night at Oneok Field.
Stevens, Austin Allen, and Taylor Kohlwey all homered to help Cal Quantrill (3-3) pick up the win.
San Antonio maintained a one game lead over Corpus Christi in the South Division race.
Every Missions starter hit safely. The top four hitters in the lineup were a collective 10-for-21.
Four of Tulsa's five runs were unearned, the result of three San Antonio errors, which tied the team high for the season set less than a week ago.
The Missions entered play by leading the Texas League in runs-per-game and homeruns on the road.
The Drillers started the night as owners of the second worst ERA in Double-A for the month of May.
Trevor Frank worked the final three innings in relief and was credited with his first save of the year.
The Missions engineered a pair of four-run innings. The barrage followed a three-game sweep this past weekend by Springfield, during which the Missions scored a total of seven runs.
