
Rockers Head Back on Road to Take on Rafters

Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Saturday on the road, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. as the Rockers look to get back in the win column after falling to the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Friday night.
The Rockers come into this game 13-8 in second half play while the Rafters sit three games ahead Green Bay in the standings at 17-6 in the second half.
Green Bay fell to Fond du Lac Friday night 10-4 at Capital Credit Union Park in what snapped a four-game win streak for the Rockers.
Despite the loss, Matt Scannell finished with three RBIs and went 2-4 with a double, leading the way for the Green Bay offense.
In his first appearance as a member of the Rockers, Easton Vertz pitched three scoreless innings out of the bullpen, while giving up just hits with one strikeout and no walks issued.
As for Saturday's game, Aaron Heger will get the start for Green Bay in what will be his first appearance of the season.
The Rafters will start Ben Amon who comes in with a 1-1 record and a 2.25 ERA with his latest appearance coming on July 25 against the Lakeshore Chinooks.
Green Bay will head back home to take on Wisconsin Rapids in the second of back-to-back meetings. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park.
