St. Cloud Rox' Will Worthington at bat

La Crosse, WI - St. Cloud (41-15) used its bats to pull away from La Crosse (27-28) on Saturday and win 15-10 and continue its winning streak.
Will Worthington (San Diego) dominated at Copeland Park for his best game of the season, hitting his first two home runs of the summer. Worthington finished the day with six RBI's and a double as well to help St. Cloud to the win.
The Rox hit a third home run on Saturday from Brice Matthews (Nebraska), his sixth of the season. Matthews knocked his two-run shot off of the scoreboard in left-center field to put St. Cloud up early.
Garrett Pennington (Wichita State) had his best game since joining St. Cloud earlier this week, putting three hits up in his six chances. Pennington drove in three runs including a two-run double in the fourth.
St. Cloud's pitching staff also put up 16 strikeouts, including eight from Brandon Jaenke (Viterbo) in his first start of the season. Tyler Cornett (West Texas A&M) also put up three strikeouts late to help the Rox close out the victory.

St. Cloud continues its three-game road trip and looks for a sweep with the Loggers on Sunday. First pitch from Copeland Park is scheduled for 5:05 pm. The Rox return home on Wednesday to face the Mankato MoonDogs for the final time this season. First pitch at the Rock Pile is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
