
Rockers Aim for Third Straight Home Win Versus Woodchucks

Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers square off against the Wausau Woodchucks Thursday with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park.
The pregame concert performed by the New Piano Guys will start at 5:35 p.m. with this game also being Thirsty Thursday at the ballpark as there will be half price domestic taps through the fifth inning.
Green Bay most recently won their previous game against the Lakeshore Chinooks on Wednesday night, following a walk-off two-run home run by Tristin Garcia.
The Rockers found themselves down 6-2 halfway through the contest and trailed 6-5 going into the bottom of the ninth, but after Garcia sent a ball over the right center field wall, the Rockers pulled off the comeback and earned their second home win in a row.
Jacob Conover earned the win on the mound, pitching two scoreless innings while giving up no hits and no runs, and earning one strikeout.
Brendan Ryan went 3-4 in the game and reached base four times in all, while Garcia finished with three RBIs in all and Collier Cranford and Keniel De Leon each tacked on an RBI themselves.
For Thursday's game, Michael Fowler gets the start on the mound for Green Bay, entering this matchup with an 0-1 record and a 7.71 ERA.
Fowler last pitched June 17 against Rockford, pitching 3.2 innings and giving up three earned runs on two hits, with three strikeouts.
Following Thursday's home game, the Rockers will travel to Wausau for a matchup with the Woodchucks on Friday. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. from Athletic Park.
