New Britain Rock Cats News Release

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats announced two roster moves this afternoon, each involving a left-handed Pitcher whom they had selected in the 3rd Round of the 2005 Draft.

LHP Brian Duensing, a 24-year-old resident of Omaha, NE, will depart the Double-A Rock Cats to join the Rochester Red Wings in the Triple-A International League. The 5'11"/ 195-pound southpaw was selected by the Twins out of the University of Nebraska in 2005. The former Cornhusker was outstanding for the Rock Cats in 2007, compiling a 4-1 record and 2.66 ERA over 9 starts. This is his first trip to the Triple-A classification.

LHP Ryan Mullins, a 23-year-old resident of Nashville, TN, will replace Duensing by joining New Britain from Ft. Myers in the Single-A Florida State League. The 6'6'/190-pound Mullins comes to the Double-A Rock Cats after having compiled a 3-3 record and 1.98 ERA over 10 2007 appearances for the Ft. Myers Miracle. It will be his first time in the Eastern League.

Both moves are effective immediately.
