New Britain, CT- The New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, has announced that Infielder Trevor Story was named to the 2015 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, which will be played on Sunday, July 12th at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, OH at 3:00 PM. Story will play for the U.S. Team, which will be managed by Ken Griffey Sr., against the World Team made up of players from seven different countries and territories outside the 50 United States. The game will be televised live on MLB Network and on MLB.com. Story is the 17th Rock Cats player to be selected to the prestigious rosters.

Story, the Rockies' 1st round pick in 2011 (Irving H.S. TX) is enjoying a terrific season with the Rock Cats. He is currently leading the Eastern League in slugging (.535), runs (46), triples (T-6), extra base hits (35) and total bases (131), while ranking third in EL in doubles (19) and walks (35). In addition, he leads the Rock Cats with 15 stolen bases and is tied for the club lead with 10 home runs and 39 RBI.

Story was named Eastern League Player of Month in April, batting .361 with 4 doubles, 4 homers and 20 RBI. The 22-year-old had 4 hits, including 3 doubles, on June 23 at Bowie and ripped a solo home run in a 1-0 Rock Cats win, May 1 vs Richmond. The right-handed slugger hit the Rock Cats only grand slam home run, April 13 at Portland and enjoyed a two homer game, April 27 at Harrisburg. Story went 4-4 with a single, two doubles and home run, just missing the cycle, May 3 vs Richmond. He was invited to his first Major League Spring Training as a non-roster player in 2015. Story is rated by Baseball America as the 11th best prospect in the Rockies' system entering the 2015 season.

Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League Clubs, selected the 25 players currently on each team. Each Major League organization is represented and players from all full-season Minor Leagues were eligible to participate.
