April 20, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT - The Rock Cats Foundation - the charitable arm of the New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club - announced today that it is teaming up with Bearingstar Insurance for the 2008 Season. Bearingstar, which insures automobiles and homes, has ten offices across Connecticut and has deep roots in New England as a member of the Massachusetts-based Arbella Insurance Group.
Bearingstar - with offices in Darien, Fairfield, Southbury, Torrington, Avon, South Windsor, Suffield, Rocky Hill, Willimantic, and Bozrah - has become an Official Partner of the Rock Cats Foundation and, as such, will help raise money to support a variety of community-based, non-profit organizations that benefit children in Connecticut.
And there is a vital role that Rock Cats fans and friends can play in this joint effort.
Rock Cats fans and, indeed, all Connecticut residents, can join the charitable effort by simply requesting a no obligation Auto or Home insurance quote from their local Bearingstar Insurance office. Or, fans may bring a copy of their current policy to a Rock Cats game at New Britain Stadium where a Bearingstar representative may review it or, they may simply fill out an insurance quote request form that can be picked up at the Rock Cats Foundation booth located on the concourse inside the Stadium's main gates. For each no obligation quote requested by fans, Bearingstar Insurance will make a contribution to the Rock Cats Foundation! To make things even more convenient, individuals may request their free, no obligation quote by calling Bearingstar Insurance at 1-888-519-9996 or by visiting the Club's website - www.rockcats.com - to register on line.
The Rock Cats Foundation and Bearingstar Insurance are very excited about this new partnership aimed at raising funds to support worthy local causes. "We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with a company as respected as Bearingstar, and excited to engage our great fans in this joint effort to boost the Foundation's resources so we can do even more for our community", offered New Britain's General Manager, John Willi.
