(Davenport-IA)- Austin Robichaux tossed 6.2 shutout innings, striking out eight, helping the Bees to a 2-1 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Saturday night in Davenport.

Bees' starter Austin Robichaux and River Bandits' starter, Francis Martes traded scoreless innings until the fourth. Jake Yacinich led off the inning with a double to left, extending his hitting streak to eight games. After Juan Moreno sacrificed Yacinich to second with a bunt, Andrew Daniel hit a fly ball to center, scoring Yacinich with a sacrifice fly, putting the Bees on top, 1-0.

Caleb Adams led of the fifth inning reaching second base on a two base throwing error. Wade Wass lined a single to right, pushing his hit streak to five games, moving Adams to third. Ryan Seiz hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Adams, upping the Bees' lead to 2-0.

With flashing lightning in the area, both teams were pulled off the field and the game went into a weather delay with the Bees leading, 2-0, in the top of the ninth inning.

Jordan Piche came on in the bottom of the ninth inning and struck out the first two hitters before Nick Tanielu doubled to right field, and then came home to score on a Ryan Bottger double, pulling the River Bandits to within a run, at 2-1. Piche went on to get Ramon Laureano to groundout, earning his second save, securing the Bees' 2-1 win.

Bees' starter Austin Robichaux (6-2) pitched 6.2 innings, without allowing a run on four hits, striking out eight without issuing a walk, earning the win. River Bandits' starting pitcher, Francis Martes (1-2) was charged with the loss. The Bees and the River Bandits finish the series Sunday afternoon at 1:15 as Jeremy Rhoades starts for the Bees against Akeem Bostick for Quad Cities.
