
Robert Earnshaw Named MLS Player of the Week

Toronto FC and Welsh international striker Robert Earnshaw was named Major League Soccer (MLS) Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 2, the league announced on Monday.
Earnshaw scored both goals for Toronto FC in a 2-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday at Rogers Centre.
Earnshaw becomes the first Toronto FC player to win the honours since Danny Koevermans was named Player of the Week for Week 17 in July 2012.
Toronto FC heads to Montreal this Saturday to play the Impact. An MLS record breaking number of Toronto FC supporters will travel to Montreal for the match. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. on TSN.
