REAL SALT LAKE TO TAKE ON COLORADO RAPIDS IN 2013 HOME OPENER ON SATURDAY

Real Salt Lake will look to bounce back from last weekend's 1-0 loss at D.C. United on Saturday, when it will host Rocky Mountain Cup Presented by Mark Miller Subaru rival Colorado Rapids in the 2013 home opener at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Saturday's match is the first of three Rocky Mountain Cup matches this season. The Claret-and-Cobalt has won six-consecutive Rocky Mountain Cups, going 2-1-0 in three matches against the Rapids last year. The game is a part of Major League Soccer's first-ever Rivalry Week, which will feature eight regional rivalry matches.

This weekend's game will kick off at 4:00 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on ABC4, ESPN700 AM and 102.3 La Gran D/1600 AM. A limited amount of tickets to the match are still available and can be purchased online at www.RealSaltLake.com/Tickets.

SABORIO CALLED UP TO COSTA RICAN NATIONAL TEAM FOR WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Real Salt Lake FW Alvaro Saborio was called up to the Costa Rican national team for its March World Cup Qualifiers at the U.S. and against Jamaica.

Saborio and Los Ticos will play Hexagonal matches against the U.S. in Denver on March 22 before returning to Costa Rica to take on Jamaica in San Jose on March 26. Saborio, who scored a brace in RSL's 2-0 win at San Jose on March 3, scored a goal and added an assist in Costa Rica's Hexagonal opener at Panama on February 6.

RIMANDO TO BE HONORED BEFORE SATURDAY'S HOME OPENER

Real Salt Lake GK Nick Rimando will be honored in a ceremony before Saturday's home opener for reaching 100 career regular season shutouts on March 3 at San Jose. Rimando became just the second player in MLS history to reach the mark, joining unsigned "˜keeper Kevin Hartman - who has 112 career clean sheets - in the exclusive club.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to Saturday's game to watch the entire ceremony honoring Rimando.

NINTH-ANNUAL REAL WEEK IN FULL SWING

Real Salt Lake's ninth-annual Real Week celebration is in full-swing, with a full week of events planned ahead of Saturday's home opener against Colorado.

The highlight of this year's Real Week will come on Wednesday, when the when the full Real Salt Lake team - including Owner Dell Loy Hansen, President Bill Manning, Head Coach Jason Kreis, General Manager Garth Lagerwey and every player - will make a public appearance at Scheels in Sandy from 2-3 p.m. Scheels will auction off several autographed RSL kits and a few lucky fans will walk away from the event with an autographed RSL mini ball.

Additionally, Kreis will speak at the event and answer questions submitted by fans on Twitter. Fans interested in submitting questions should use #RSLAMAA for their question to be considered. Kreis will also appear live on ESPN 700's "The Bill & Hans Show," which will broadcast live from the event. Lagerwey and several players will also appear on "The Bill & Hans Show" during the event.

REAL SALT LAKE RESERVES TO TAKE ON COLORADO ON SUNDAY

The Real Salt Lake Reserves on Sunday will play its second match of the Reserve League season, taking on the Colorado Rapids Reserves in a match at America First Field in Sandy, Utah. The match will be open to the media and to the public and will be free to attend.

The RSL Reserves are 1-0-0 in the 2013 Reserve League season, having beaten the San Jose Earthquakes Reserves 1-0 in the Bay Area on March 4.
