Phoenix RoadRunners News Release

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Ever wanted to play a round of golf with your favorite RoadRunners' player? How about going to a Phoenix Suns game with the team Captain? Or perhaps even fulfilling your hockey dreams by lacing up the skates and taking the ice with the Phoenix RoadRunners?

The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, in conjunction with Phoenix Children's Hospital, will host their first ever interactive "VIP Experiences" live auction inside the Toyota Club at US Airways Center following Saturday's game against the Bakersfield Condors. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the "Face-Off Against Kids Cancer" and the Camp Rainbow program at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

"VIP Experiences" up for bids will include golf foursomes at local Valley golf courses including the Raven Golf Club at South Mountain, Desert Mirage in Glendale, and the Wigwam Resort; lower level tickets and limousine transportation to a Phoenix Suns game March 17 against the Philadelphia 76ers; a personal guided tour of the Phoenix Zoo and an up-close encounter with several of the Phoenix Zoo animals; a one-night stay at the Inn at Eagle Mountain in Fountain Hills; tickets to an Arizona State Men's Basketball game March 7 against California along with a personalized autograph team basketball and a meet-and-greet with the Sun Devils' players following the game, and much more.

Almost all of the "VIP Experiences" will include your favorite RoadRunners' players, including the "RoadRunners Fantasy Experience". One lucky fan will have the opportunity to take the ice with the team for a practice or pre-game skate and actually stand on the bench during a RoadRunners' home game.

"Face-Off Against Kids Cancer" is a program that pairs RoadRunners' players with 20 children from across Arizona who suffer from pediatric cancer. For the past 10 weeks, the players and children have participated in a series of social events with the hopes of creating a lasting relationship and increasing awareness about childhood cancer in the community.

Since the program's inception in 2006, the RoadRunners have raised a total of $29,400 in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Originated by the Mississippi Sea Wolves Hockey Club of the ECHL in 2003 and later duplicated by both the Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Bullies Hockey Club and the Fresno Falcons Hockey Club of the ECHL, "Face-Off Against Kids Cancer" has touched hundreds of lives and raised thousands of dollars in the fight against cancer.

Phoenix Children's Hospital is Arizona's leader in pediatric care and is one of the 10 largest free-standing children's hospitals in the nation. The outstanding clinical expertise, as well as high patient volume, and an unwavering commitment to caring only for children, all contribute to Children's leadership position. For information about Phoenix Children's, visit the Hospital's award-winning website at www.phoenixchildrens.com.

The RoadRunners would like to recognize and thank the following partners and supporters of the 2008-09 "Face-Off Against Kids Cancer": the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona State University Athletics, AZ On The Rocks, Creating Hearts In Healing Inc., Dad's Catering, Desert Mirage Golf Club, First Choice Awards, Inn at Eagle Mountain, Phoenix Children's Hospital, the Phoenix Suns, the Phoenix Zoo, Raven Golf Club at South Mountain, VIP Livery Limousine, and the Wigwam Resort.
