
Road Warriors Trample Everblades

Estero, FL: The Road Warriors finished out their road trip with a commanding 6-1 win over the Florida Everblades.
Marc-Olivier Vallerand scored 3:35 into the first period banking in a rebound for his 16th of the year. Sean Berkstresser and Danny Hobbs each had shots that created rebounds and finally knocked in by Vallerand. The Everblades lone goal came on the man advantage as Matthew Pistilli scored on the backdoor for his 15th of the year to tie the game at one. Just 2:24 later, Bretton Stamler was wide open in the slot and scored his fifth of the year over Rob Madore's blocker. Hobbs and Berkstresser assisted on the goal again. Greenville took a 2-1 lead into the second period with Scott Stajcer stopping 16 of 17 shots in the first frame.
Hobbs scored the only goal in the second period jamming in a loose puck in the crease for his fourth of the year. Berkstresser assisted once again and Bretton Cameron collected the other helper. It was a 3-1 lead for Greenville and Stajcer stopped all 13 shots in the second period.
The flood gates opened for a three-goal third period as Jordie Johnston scored on a deflection just 2:51 in. Berkstresser completed his first four point performance of the year with his 10th goal of the season. The finishing touches were applied as Ryan Flanigan scored his first of the year to lead the way to a 6-1 win. Brendan Connolly assisted on Flanigan's goal extending his point streak to 12 games. Stajcer saw the most shots allowed this season by the Road Warriors. He won his eighth game stopping 44 of 45 shots. Madore took the loss stopping 24 of 29 shots. He was pulled after the fifth goal and Pat Nagle came into replace the starter. Nagle allowed one goal on three shots.
