Edinburg Roadrunners News Release
Brandon Wood turned in another solid performance â eight innings, one earned run and eight strikeouts, but the Fort Worth offense couldn't get anything started, and the Cats went on to lose 3-0. The Cats wasted numerous opportunities tonight, stranding ten base runners in the game. Edinburg got on the board early, scoring two runs in the second inning. Ryan Lehr started the Roadrunners' offense off with a triple, scoring on a Vince Moore single. After that, Edinburg would score Moore behind an Eddie Fitzpatrick sacrifice fly.
Ryan Webb would score in the eighth to put Edinburg up 3-0. Julio Ruiz pitched a fantastic game, going seven innings, giving up four hits, no runs, and striking out six. Steven Wilkerson allowed just one walk in the ninth as he retired the side for his seventh save of the year.
