2004 Central League All-Stars announced

DURHAM, N.C. – The nine starting position players for the Central League All-Star Game voted on by the league managers and media were announced today. The reserves and pitchers were also named.

The game will be held July 20 at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas, as the CBL All-Stars will take on the Northeast League All-Stars. Each club received one manager vote and one media vote. The pitchers and reserves were selected by Jackson manager Dan Shwam.

Edinburg, which won the West Division in the first half, leads all teams with five selections, while East-winner Shreveport tied with Fort Worth for next on the list with three apiece. Josh Gold (Shreveport), Alex Llanos (Jackson) and Juan Rocha (San Angelo) are the only players on the roster to appear in last season's All-Star Game. Fort Worth manager Wayne Terwilliger will serve as a coach.
