Road No Problem for Hitmen

Spokane, WA - The Calgary Hitmen are now 2-0 on their season-high seven game road trip following a 5-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday night at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Captain Mark Kastelic led the way for Calgary netting his first career hat-trick. He now has 19 goals in just 22 games this season. Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Riley Stotts also scored twice while James Malm added three assists. Egor Zamula chipped in a pair of helpers to extend his point scoring streak to four games.

Goaltender Carl Stankowski was superb in the Hitmen net making 33 saves as Spokane outshot Calgary 34-29.

The Hitmen have now won three games in a row outscoring their opponents by a combined 17-4.

The road trip continues in Everett against the Silvertips on Tuesday, Nov. 20 before making stops in Portland (Nov. 21), Seattle (Nov. 23) and Tri-City (Nov. 24). The trip will then conclude in Red Deer on Nov. 30.

The Hitmen won't be back in the Scotiabank Saddledome until Saturday, Dec. 1 when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings.
