Peoria, IL (September 16, 2005) - The Peoria Rivermen, proud new primary affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, today released the team's promotional schedule for the 2005-06 American Hockey League (AHL) season. The slate of promotional dates offers fans not only a variety of give-away items and memorable experiences, but also several opportunities to purchase tickets at a discounted price.
The Rivermen home-opening game on Friday, October 7, stands as the first date on the promotional schedule. The first 5,000 fans attending that game will receive a 2005-06 Rivermen magnetic schedule, sponsored by American TV & Appliance. Games throughout the season that will feature the distribution of promotional items include:

In addition to the give-away nights, the Rivermen promotional schedule also includes the appearance at Carver Arena of several children's characters, such as Jimmy Neutron and Scooby Doo, and post-game concerts by Christian artists Audio Adrenaline and Jeremy Camp. The schedule concludes with UFS Ralph Rashid Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, April 14, 2006.
The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and will celebrate its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
