Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs are pleased to announce the hockey club has reached a deal with Hamilton's 820 CHAM for the fourth consecutive season and will broadcast three preseason games, all 80 Hamilton Bulldogs regular season games, plus all Calder Cup Playoff games. Once again Bulldogs Play-by-Play Broadcaster and AHL Ellery Award winner Derek Wills will call all the action, while Hamilton radio personality Al Craig will provide the colour commentary for all home games and select road games.

"The Hamilton Bulldogs are excited to announce our continuing relationship with 820 CHAM for the broadcast of all Bulldogs games home and away for the upcoming season," said Hamilton Bulldogs Executive Director of Operations Brian Lewis. "Our partnership with Standard Radio has reached new levels, and bringing Bulldogs hockey into the homes of as many people as possible on AM 820 through the radio broadcast is essential to promoting our great product. Derek Wills and Al Craig form a dynamic duo, and we are proud to have them on our team."

Drew Keith, Operations Manager for Standard Radio Hamilton stated, "820 CHAM is thrilled to be the official broadcast partner of the Hamilton Bulldogs for the upcoming 2005 / 2006 hockey season. Exciting hockey combined with great community support through a wonderful organization, we are very proud to be broadcasting all Bulldogs games on 820 CHAM The Legend. The only place for hockey in Hamilton is 820 CHAM The Legend."

Derek Wills, who enters his fifth season as the voice of the Bulldogs, will return once again to call all the hockey club's action.

"Following three very successful seasons, I am thrilled that 820 CHAM 'The Legend' will once again be carrying every regular season and post-season Hamilton Bulldogs game in 2005-2006. I am really looking forward to working with everybody at Standard Radio, and of course my good friend and broadcast partner Al Craig, to bring the history, the excitement, and the drama of the 'Dogs historic 10th Anniversary Season to our listeners".

Al Craig will join Wills for all Bulldogs home games and select road games.

"The Bulldogs and 820 CHAM have become quite a team and I couldn't be happier than to be back with them for a fourth season. The Bulldogs always provide excitement on the ice and I enjoy working with Derek and his equally exciting play-by-play. I can hardly wait for the new season with the great people at 820 CHAM!"
