Rivermen and zAthlete Announce Fan Blogger Winner

Peoria, Ill. (October 28, 2008) - The Peoria Rivermen and zAthlete, the premier online sports community for athletes, parents and fans, have announced that Bryan Nehrkorn is the winner of the contest to become the official Rivermen zAthlete Team Blogger for the 2008-09 season.
"We are truly excited to be partnering with zAthlete in creating a new way for fans to interact and follow our team," said Rivermen COO Josh Morin. "I believe Bryan will provide a fresh perspective and I am looking forward to reading his blog."
Nehrkorn will receive a pair of lower bowl season tickets to the Rivermen along with access to player interviews, practice sessions, media and game notes and more. His blog can be accessed through www.zathlete.com/Rivermen.
Peoria returns to action on Friday as they welcome the Quad City Flames to town. It's Halloween and fans are encouraged to dress in costume for the game. Any fan in costume will receive two (2) FREE tickets to an upcoming Rivermen home game. There will also be trick-or-treating and a costume contest during the second intermission.
